Participant guidelines
Thematic sessions
Thematic sessions include:

1. Molecular basis for the synthesis and degradation of biopolymers
2. Metabolic engineering for production of monomers and bio-based polymers
3. Systems and Synthetic Biology
4. Bioprocess design: pure and mixture cultures
5. New feedstocks and bio-refineries. Life cycle analysis
6. Applications and commercialization of biopolymers and bio-based polymers


Once you are registered, you will be able to submit an oral presentation or a poster included in one of the thematic sessions:

i) Poster.

ii) Oral communication with Poster option.
IMPORTANT: The Scientific Committee will select a limited number of oral communications. Those that were not selected for oral communication will have the opportunity of presenting a poster.

Abstract preparation
The Private Area is where you will be able to manage the submission and corrections of your abstract. Before you can submit an abstract, you shall have registered (More information).
 
You will have direct access at any time to your private area by clicking the login tab on the right hand upper corner and entering your username and password.
 
You may modify the text, title and authors of the abstract as many times as you wish before the abstract submission deadline on June 30, 2016. Additionally, there is an 2500 character limit and no template.
 
An abstract book will be produced following the Symposium. But only those contributions with payment confirmed before the abstract submission deadline will be published in the book.
Posters session
Posters will be presented by the authors and displayed at the Exhibition Area, and they will be exposed permanently during the entire Symposium, from Monday, September 26 (09:00) until Thursday, September 29 (18:00).

Please note that authors are responsible for putting up the posters on the corresponding board, as well as removing them at the end of the Symposium.

The maximum size of poster boards is 120 cm (length) × 90 cm (width).

The final poster numbers will be displayed on the poster board and your Private Area.
